What Is Mobilization?

According to Webster's Dictionary it is the act of being mobilized.

  to assemble and make ready for war duty 

  to marshal (as resources) for action <mobilize support for a proposal>

According to CWA Local 7250 mobilization is:

the assembly of members standing together in a unified front

One Union, One Fight, One Future

Why do we mobilize?

• To show the company that we stand together as Union members to protect workers past & present.

• Protect our wages, health, vision, dental benefits, vacation and working conditions in our CWA contract(s) that we, or members before us fought for.

• Strengthen current wages & benefits so we can continue to support our families and our communities.

• Honor & Protect retiree pension & healthcare.

• Ensure that all workers are treated equally.

• The more active members we have, the stronger we are to achieve what we need.

What does a Mobilizer or Stewards Army member do?

• Help keep co-workers informed of issues, actions & meetings

• Pass out flyers

• Bring issues back to the Union Leaders

• Participate in job actions

• Spread the word

The company has never given workers anything because they want to; every right, working condition and benefit we enjoy has come from the members standing together with the Union bargaining team and CWA Leadership.

This committee may meet after hours or on weekends, which would require a personal time commitment.
