What is a SCAB

According to Webster it is:

1. A worker who refuses to join a labor union

2. A union member who refuses to strike or returns to work before a strike has ended

3. A worker who accepts employment or replaces a union worker during a strike

4. One who works for less than union wages, or on non-union terms

CWA Local 7250 defines a SCAB as one of your co-workers that wants all of the Union Wages, working conditions and benefits, without personal sacrifice.

Instead a SCAB expects everyone else to stand up and fight for them because they are too selfish, stupid or brainwashed by the company to realize that they are diminishing our ability to strengthen our bargaining unit, our rights on the job & our benefits (like vacations, holidays, seniority, overtime, pension, vision, dental and healthcare).

Local 7250's message to SCABS:  If you want to be non-union, go work for one of our non-union competitors in the communications industry like Comcast, Sprint, Verizon or T-Mobile. There are more anti-union companies than those whose workers are represented by unions; your choices are virtually unlimited.

Please don't stick around and leech off of the rest of us.  We are not scared to stand up to the company to get what we deserve in our contracts.  We understand that there is power in numbers.

You aren't hurting the union leadership by being a SCAB, you are hurting every one of your co-workers, the people that you work with every day, and others covered under the same contract that you have never met before.  WE, the members, ARE THE UNION, and SCABs impede our ability to bargain a good contract.

We don't want to eat the shit sandwich that you are helping the company deliver to us.  You are weakening our ability to bargain with at$t because of your anti-union bullshit.  GO AWAY SCAB.

Disclamer:  No apologies will be issued to any SCABS that are offended by this message.  SCABS undermine the collective bargaining process and make bargaining units weak. SCABS are Union busters. If you are a SCAB and you are offended, too bad SCAB, you know who you are.  Thousands of strong Union members are fighting for the rights of all.    We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members who continue to stand strong.
